How to Stay Fit (and Happy) While Traveling

Travel doesn’t have to derail your wellness goals. In fact, it’s an opportunity to reconnect with your body in fresh ways — AND break free from your routine. Yes—you can feel strong and energized while exploring the world. You may even discover something new you love to do.

Here’s how I stay on track when I’m away from home:

  • Pack resistance bands: Lightweight and versatile, they’re perfect for hotel workouts.

  • Choose movement over perfection: A 20-minute walk in the morning beats an hour at the gym you never do.

  • Hydrate like a pro: Planes and new routines dehydrate you. Carry a reusable water bottle everywhere.

  • Prioritize protein: When eating out, build your meal around protein and veggies first.

Above all, give yourself grace. Staying healthy while traveling isn’t about being rigid. It’s about being intentional—and remembering that your body loves you back when you love it first.
