The Art of Hitting the Reset Button (Your Way)

There’s something powerful about choosing to to hit the reset button. Sometimes you simply need a reboot — a fresh start. For me, this means taking a moment to get away, shake up my routine and gain perspective. Going away if often a shortcut to coming back to yourself.

Instead of forcing a total overhaul, ask yourself: What would help me feel good today? A walk around the block. A far-flung vacation? A nourishing breakfast. A quiet moment alone. Your reset doesn’t have to look dramatic to be meaningful. Often, it’s the small, repeatable choices that shift everything.

My personal favorite? Travel. This completely forces you out of your routine, requires you to break your patterns, shakes you out of auto-pilot and really helps me create new thought patterns.

That’s where transformation begins — within. Change and hitting reset is a mental exercise that you can access fastest (in my experience) by completely shaking up your daily routines.

Can’t get away? Try simple things — go to the gym across town. Drive to work a different route. Brush your teeth with your opposite hand. Purposely TRY to deviate from your schedule.

Mix it up — and don’t be afraid to even sleep in. A little reset now and then is good for mind, body and soul.
