Flexible Wellness: Creating Routines That (Actually) Support You
Wellness isn’t one-size-fits-all. And it certainly isn’t all-or-nothing. As women, our lives—and our bodies—move in seasons. Hormones shift. Schedules change. Energy rises and falls. The key to consistency isn’t rigidity. It’s flexibility. The most sustainable wellness routines are the ones that move with you, not control you.
Remember, consistency daily outperforms being extraordinary once in a while. Feeling your best, being your best and living your best is about DAILY habits and SUSTAINABLE routines.
This means — instead of focusing on the fantasy of the perfect routine, create a collection of self-care activities you can draw from depending on how you feel. Some days, that might be a long morning walk and matcha. Other days, it might be power-focused strength training session and a nutrient-rich smoothie. And some days? Book a massage and REST. When you have wellness anchors—habits that ground you—you can stay connected to your goals while making space for real life.
Consistency isn’t about never missing a day. It’s about knowing how to stay in relationship with your body—even when life gets busy. It is also about building a life you love with activities you ADORE.
Love getting cardio outside? Find places you love walking, hiking, running or cycling. Maybe join a run club. Prefer to train with others? Group fitness like reformer pilates or hot yoga will be great paired with weight training with your gym bestie. This keeps you connected to others while still making gains.
If you LOVE it and it is good for you, do MORE of it. Is it something you can do consistently? Integrate it into your daily routine so that you can look FORWARD to it. This is how you build a life (and daily rituals) that create a satisfying life.
So ask yourself: What does my body need today? Then choose from your toolkit. That’s flexible wellness. That’s how you thrive.
