Shake Up Your Routine: Use the Holidays to Try Something New
The holidays are here and with them come full calendars, cozy nights, and often, a break from our normal routines. But instead of seeing this as a time to pause your wellness journey, what if you saw it as a chance to expand it?
This season is the perfect time to shake things up. When the gym gets packed or your regular class schedule is thrown off, it’s easy to feel thrown off too. But rather than throwing in the towel, it’s your invitation to try something new. Something fun. Something your future self will thank you for.
Make Movement an Adventure
Maybe it’s time to sign up for that hot yoga class you’ve been eyeing. Or take a barre class with your best friend while you're both in town. If you're traveling, explore your new surroundings on foot and wander through city streets, hike a new trail, or even try skiing or snowshoeing if you're heading somewhere snowy. These activities don’t just challenge your body in new ways. New movements and new environments reinvigorate your mind and break up the monotony of your typical week.
Seasonal shifts are the ideal time to break free from “autopilot” and infuse your routine with intention. You don’t need to overhaul everything, just commit to showing up for yourself differently. You might discover a new favorite workout, movement style, or even a new standard for how good your body can feel.
Stay Curious & Committed
Switching it up doesn’t mean abandoning your goals. It does mean evolving your approach. In fact, giving your body something new to adapt to is one of the best ways to stay consistent, avoid burnout, and continue seeing results.
So as the year winds down, I challenge you to shake things up. Do this not because you “have to,” but because you get to. Be the woman who says yes to growth, yes to expansion, and yes to that class you’ve always wanted to try.
This is your season to rise, glow, and feel strong in every sense of the word.
